A multi‑state, family‑owned financial services organization is seeking a hands‑on HR Manager to lead day‑to‑day HR operations for a growing, geographically dispersed workforce. This role supports approximately 300 employees nationwide, with a high‑volume retail employee population.
Key Responsibilities For The HR Manager
Ensure multi‑state HR compliance, with strong focus on California regulations
Update and maintain employee handbooks and state‑specific policies
Manage recruiting nationwide, including high‑turnover retail roles
Handle employee relations, terminations, and investigations
Oversee onboarding, benefits administration, 401(k), and open enrollment
Review payroll for accuracy and support HR operations
Partner with leadership while operating independently
Requirements For The HR Manager
Bilingual Spanish/English – required
5+ years of HR experience in a multi‑state environment
Strong knowledge of California labor laws
Experience supporting high‑turnover or retail workforces
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Comfortable working 100% onsite
Additional Details
Travel: 1–2 trips per month initially; then quarterly
