Coverage Details
Coverage includes 7-10 days of cardiovascular surgery coverage per block (shift or call)
Shift Details
12-hour shifts Monday-Friday
Weekends are 24-hour call
12-24 hour in-house coverage model
Requirements
Board certified or board eligible
South Carolina license required to start credentialing
Required Procedures / Skills
First assist for cardiovascular surgery in the operating room
Vein Harvesting
Assignment Details
Daily patient volume approximately 20
EMR: eClinicalWorks
Hospital coverage includes consults and first assisting OR cases
Three surgeons and two first assists on team
Rounding in PCU and clinic in office
Support includes one mid-level provider and one RN
Floor procedures include chest tubes and thoracentesis
ER and cath lab consults
Assignment provides cardiovascular surgery call and hospital coverage while permanent APP recruitment is underway
