Surgery - Thoracic Physician Assistant

Locum Tenens Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiothoracic in Lexington, KY
Shift: 24-hour call (7:00 AM 7:00 AM), primarily weekends
Patient Population: Adult
Setting: Inpatient / OR
Responsibilities: First assist in cardiothoracic surgeries, perform inpatient rounds, assist in ICU and telemetry care, support surgeons during procedures and call coverage
Required Procedures: CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy/lung resection, vein harvest, chest tube placement
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Works alongside surgeons
Days Per Month: PRN coverage (weekends and PTO coverage)
On-Call/Weekends: Yes; 1 weekend/month and 1 2 call days/week

Requirements:

• Board Certified Required
• Active KY License Required
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA Required
• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) Required
