• End Date: August 17, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (Travel contract)
• Shift: 8-hour days (7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday)
• Hours per Week: 40

Required Qualifications (Pathology Assistant / PA)

• PA (ASCP) certification (Pathology Assistant certification)
• Active Florida state license
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pathology Assistant in a hospital or surgical pathology setting
• Extensive grossing experience with all specimen types and sizes, including large specimens (breast, colon, complex oncology cases)
• Proven ability to float between hospital campuses and adapt to multiple sites
• Experience with Laboratory Information System (LIS) and accurate gross documentation
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to laboratory safety and compliance standards

Key Responsibilities

• Grossing all specimen types and sizes, including large and complex oncology cases (surgical pathology grossing)
• Accurately document gross descriptions and complete required specimen documentation in the LIS
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and chain-of-custody for diagnostic accuracy
• Collaborate closely with pathologists, histology, and laboratory staff to support high-quality patient care
• Float between hospital campuses as required and maintain flexibility across multiple clinical sites
• Maintain compliance with laboratory protocols, safety standards, and CAP/CLIA guidelines
