We are seeking a Material Handler in the Cantonment, FL area. The role will handle physical receipt, storage, and distribution of production materials, conduct physical inventories and count discrepancy resolution, manage non‑conforming materials, and interface with purchasing and production departments regarding material issues.
Qualifications
High school diploma preferred with a minimum of one year’s experience in Materials or Operations, supplemented with on‑the‑job training.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Sound basic math skills.
Ability to perform job duties with a high degree of accuracy.
Must be able to perform job duties with limited direct supervision.
Possess working knowledge of standard material receiving and internal distribution practices.
Post‑offer drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation.
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to health or safety of others.
Functional Requirements
Assist with terminal/distribution operations by performing loading and unloading activities.
Monitor products transferred to and from tanks, vessels, or pipelines at terminal site.
Assist with terminal maintenance duties, maintaining equipment in operating condition.
Catch samples as per Standard Operating Procedure.
Input information into electronic hand‑held device which documents SOP.
Load trucks, railcars, and unload raw materials from outside suppliers and intra‑plant units.
Track mobile movement & spot railcars and tanker trailers.
Assist customers and/or producers with any problems that may arise.
Special assignment duties and call‑out as required.
Subject to random DOT drug screening.
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Physical Involvement
Employee may be required to climb ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc., above and below ground level; maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, and structures; reach in all directions, handle and manipulate objects and materials; coordinate the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lift 30 to 100 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carry objects, tools, equipment, etc.; stand; sit; walk; push; pull; bend; kneel; crouch/squat; crawl; see with or without correction; hear with or without correction.
