Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
This position offers the chance to design and lead a cutting-edge GI program, emphasizing a blend of research, education, and clinical excellence. You will recruit, train, and inspire a multidisciplinary team, including GI hospitalists, faculty, and fellows, driving collaboration across specialties with a focus on underserved communities.
Schedule and Assignment Details
Enjoy a full-time schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend calls as part of a 1:4 rotation. This role offers a balanced work-life schedule supported by a robust APP team, ensuring you have the time to focus on both professional and personal commitments.
Support and Work Environment
Work within a collaborative environment that provides meaningful support from a team of skilled professionals, including nursing and ancillary staff. This role ensures consistent endoscopic block time and robust referral volumes, facilitating seamless patient management and care delivery.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required
- Active and unrestricted NJ state medical license (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications
- Experience in program development or leadership as a chief or medical director is preferred
- Open to candidates with a history of malpractice or licensing issues, within acceptable limitations
