Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
This position offers the chance to design and lead a cutting-edge GI program, emphasizing a blend of research, education, and clinical excellence. You will recruit, train, and inspire a multidisciplinary team, including GI hospitalists, faculty, and fellows, driving collaboration across specialties with a focus on underserved communities.
Schedule and Assignment Details
Enjoy a full-time schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend calls as part of a 1:4 rotation. This role offers a balanced work-life schedule supported by a robust APP team, ensuring you have the time to focus on both professional and personal commitments.
Support and Work Environment
Work within a collaborative environment that provides meaningful support from a team of skilled professionals, including nursing and ancillary staff. This role ensures consistent endoscopic block time and robust referral volumes, facilitating seamless patient management and care delivery.
Qualifications
Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required
Active and unrestricted NJ state medical license (or willingness to obtain)
Valid BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications
Experience in program development or leadership as a chief or medical director is preferred
Open to candidates with a history of malpractice or licensing issues, within acceptable limitations
