Landscape Architect
to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design and planning of municipal, residential and commercial projects. This role blends creativity with technical expertise, requiring strong skills in site planning, sustainable design, and a solid understanding of land surveying and civil site principles.
Responsibilities
Lead the landscape architecture design process for a variety of projects.
Conduct site analysis and collaborate with our surveying team to assess site conditions, opportunities, and constraints.
Develop conceptual and detailed landscape plans that balance function, aesthetics, and sustainability.
Partner with engineers, surveyors, planners, and environmental consultants to ensure seamless project integration.
Incorporate sustainable design principles, green infrastructure, and low-impact development strategies.
Engage and communicate effectively with clients to understand needs, present design concepts, and manage expectations.
Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and regulatory compliance.
Ensure designs align with zoning codes, environmental requirements, and industry standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture.
Registered Landscape Architect (South and/or North Carolina preferred).
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, land surveying techniques, and site development applications.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD.
Knowledge of sustainable design and low-impact development practices.
Strong problem-solving skills with both creative and technical approaches.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal landscape design codes and regulations.
