SME Scrum Master
to support the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as Scrum Master for two Agile Product Teams, facilitating daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Ensure team alignment with Program Increment (PI) objectives and Release Train commitments within the SAFe construct.
Partner with Product Owners to maintain healthy backlogs, clearly defined user stories, and prioritized work aligned to WDP objectives.
Track and report Agile performance metrics including velocity, sprint burndown, predictability measures, and flow efficiency.
Identify and remove team‑level impediments while escalating cross‑team risks and dependencies to the Release Train Engineer (RTE).
Foster continuous improvement through Inspect & Adapt practices and actionable retrospective outcomes.
Support coordination of dependencies across DevSecOps, systems engineering, cybersecurity, data engineering, and user support teams delivering WDP capabilities.
Ensure adherence to Agile best practices while maintaining compliance with contractual milestones and delivery schedules.
Coach team members on Agile principles, Lean thinking, and high‑performing team behaviors.
Promote transparency, accountability, and psychological safety within and across Product Teams.
Basic Qualifications
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master in a SAFe or large‑scale Agile environment.
Demonstrated experience supporting multiple Agile teams simultaneously.
Experience supporting enterprise IT, data, cloud, DevSecOps, or cybersecurity programs in Federal or DoD environments.
Experience using Agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or equivalent).
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and facilitate resolution of team‑level and cross‑team impediments.
Experience developing and reporting Agile metrics to program leadership.
SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Experience supporting programs operating across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS environments.
Experience supporting DevSecOps, AI/ML, or enterprise data platform initiatives.
Experience in high‑visibility, mission‑critical DoD modernization programs.
PMI‑ACP or equivalent advanced Agile certification.
Experience facilitating distributed or hybrid Agile teams in secure environments.
Pay Range
$105,300.00 - $190,350.00
