Payroll Supervisor (multi-state) – M-F 8am-5pm – Raleigh, NC

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

Essential Functions

Hands‑on in processing payroll and related transactions, directly managing all aspects of payroll to ensure timely and accurate semi‑monthly processing of salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

Respond to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions, wage garnishments and earning verifications.

Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes to pay rates.

Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

Complete any planning, project management and communication necessary to stay ahead of employee payroll.

Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

Works in conjunction with the Accounting department as it pertains to payroll auditing.

Required Education and Experience

Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.

Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.

Five to seven years of processing payroll for a multi‑state company.
