Operations Coordinator, Men's Ice Hockey
Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking an Operations Coordinator for the Men's Ice Hockey program in Providence, Rhode Island. The coordinator will report to the Head Coach and is responsible for coordinating and organizing the day‑to‑day operations of the Brown men's ice hockey program, assisting the Head Coach in all phases of daily operations and promotion of a Division I intercollegiate program.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and organize the day‑to‑day operations of the Brown Men's Ice Hockey program.
Assist the Head Coach in all phases of daily operations and promotion of the program.
Maintain exemplary ethical conduct and comply with NCAA, ECAC, Ivy League, and University rules and regulations.
Report any knowledge of rule violations to the compliance office and appropriate parties.
Maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (available at no cost through the Division).
Complete a criminal background and DMV check satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
1–2 years of related experience in ice hockey (collegiate playing, coaching, or operations); Division I experience preferred.
Excellent computer, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience planning and organizing team travel preferred.
Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact positively with student‑athletes, parents, alumni, colleagues, and the public.
Strong commitment to the welfare of student‑athletes.
Ability to independently coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge and understanding of, and commitment to, compliance with NCAA, ECAC, Ivy League, and University rules and regulations.
Background Check
Criminal background, education, and motor vehicle checks are required. A successful candidate must pass these checks before employment begins.
