This includes player development, game strategy, team management, and fostering a positive, competitive team environment.Job Description:**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Lead player evaluation and manage the player selection process* Plan, organize, and conduct all team practices* Develop and implement pre-game preparation routines* Direct and manage team operations during games* Travel with the team to all away games (travel expenses covered by team)* Scout and evaluate opponents to develop competitive game strategies* Supervise players both on and off the ice* Formulate and communicate game plans to players and assistant coaches* Oversee and mentor assistant coaches and delegate responsibilities accordingly* Submit a year-end report to the athletic department including player observations, team performance, and program recommendations* Ensure compliance with all ACHA hockey rules and regulations* Foster a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and player development**Minimum Requirements*** Minimum of 3 years of hockey coaching at 18-year-old-and above level (juniors, collegiate, or professional) or high-level playing experience* Strong knowledge of ACHA hockey rules and regulations* Demonstrated leadership and team management skills* Ability to delegate effectively to assistant coaches and team managers* Strong communication and organizational skills* Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting* CPR/First Aid certification preferredAccreditation and equal opportunityLynn University does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, age, pregnancy, parenting status, veteran status or retirement status in its activities and programs.
