Maintenance Technician
Location:
Webb City, MO
Salary:
$32.00/hour (After 90 days of active time in position and solid performance review, eligible for rate increase)
Schedule:
Straight days (S/1)
Shift Differential:
$1.25/hour for afternoon and midnight shifts
Focus
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing remedial repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs.
Essential Functions
Work with and/or lead the operating crew to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Troubleshoots and performs repairs on equipment.
Ensures operation of machinery and other production equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
Ability to diagnose defective mechanical parts and disassemble the components for repair.
Performs duties as assigned, including completing work order documentation and data entry into the computerized maintenance system.
Adheres to all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout and wearing required PPE.
Position Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
A minimum of one year of related maintenance experience. Experience within a high-output manufacturing environment is preferred.
Must be proficient in using hand and power tools, micrometers, and calipers.
Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting, problem‑solving skills, and high‑voltage electricity knowledge.
Must be able to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.
Experience operating a forklift.
Ability to operate manual mills and lathes.
Fabrication and welding experience preferred.
Ability to wear a respirator when required.
Must have strong communication skills, be multi‑tasking, detail‑oriented, and be able to work independently and within a team environment.
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, climb ladders, work at heights, in weather elements and extreme temperatures, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Flexibility to be on call, work other shifts, and weekends as needed.
