Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Lockbourne, Ohio. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Products handled: Frozen and Perishable Foods.

Benefits & Pay

Hourly pay: $21.00 per hour

Second shift additional pay: $2.00 per hour

Schedule: 2nd Shift Split Monday – Tuesday – Friday – Saturday, 5:30 pm – 4:00 am

Sign‑On Bonus: $250 after 30 days and $250 after 90 days

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred

Valid forklift operator license

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to work within a diverse work environment

Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization

Highly thorough and dependable

Must be punctual and have a good attendance record

Performs work independently with minimal supervision

Possesses a high degree of initiative

Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure

Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Ability to work using health and safety methods

Must be available to work a flexible schedule across various shifts

Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices

Responsibilities

Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting

Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract

Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks

Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in the warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)

Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours of production

Perform other duties as assigned
