Position Description
Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Forklift Operator in Wilmington, Illinois.
Pay
Up to $24.50 per hour (including productivity incentives).
Base pay: $18.50 per hour
$0.25 per hour increases at 90 and 180 days
3% increase after 1 year
Overtime pay: $27.75 per hour
Productivity incentives: Up to $6 per hour
Sign‑on bonus: $1,000 paid in two installments at 30 and 90 days
Schedule: Sunday–Tuesday 5 am–4:30 pm; Wednesday 5 am–10:45 am

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One year or more related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred
Valid forklift operator's license
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience creating and maintaining professional relationships at all levels
Highly thorough and dependable
Punctual with good attendance record
Works independently with minimal supervision
High initiative
High accuracy even under pressure
Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 35 lbs
Able to stand for long periods
Able to work using health and safety methods
Flexible schedule for various shifts
Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting
Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
Accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks
Manage day‑to‑day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production
Perform other duties as assigned
