Summary/Objective
Prepare incoming and outgoing shipping as well as maintain records of all shipping data and necessary documents.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Compares identifying information and counts, weights or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against picking tickets, orders and SAP system
Determines method of shipment
Uses the UPS computerized shipping machines
Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons
Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes postage where necessary
Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
Operates fork truck and hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from receiving platform to storage or work areas using an RF barcode scanner
Performs the confirmation of orders and billing; filing of picking tickets
Loads containers for international shipments
Quality control to catch pick/pack errors and reconcile orders
Follow written Quality Safety Process (QSP) and Standard Operator Procedures (SOP) that apply to the job requirements.
Requirements
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
1+ year(s) of recent applicable experience
Must have forklift experience
RF Barcode Scanner experience
Basic computer working knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
SAP experience – minimum 1 year (preferred)
UPS Shipping machine experience – minimum 1 year (preferred)
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift to perform job duties.
Pay Transparency
The current pay rate for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will.
