WinnCompanies is looking for a dynamic

Regional Maintenance Technician

to support various properties in

Northern California / Bay Area .

This role includes performing maintenance functions and work orders for the communities, including appliance repairs, apartment turnovers, and maintenance of the exterior of our properties. The position requires traveling throughout

Northern California , the

Bay Area , and the

Central Valley . The candidate must use their own vehicle for at least 75% of the travel, with mileage reimbursement available.

The pay range is $28.00 to $33.00 per hour, depending on experience. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, problem solve, and make repairs in areas such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and HVAC.

Lead and train other maintenance technicians.

Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.

Ensure vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market ready in accordance with company standards.

Assist Maintenance Supervisor in leading and assisting with preventive maintenance programs, building and safety inspections, and annual unit inspections.

Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.

Be available for on‑call activity during off‑hours and emergencies based on a pre‑determined schedule and need.

Requirements

3–5 years of related affordable housing maintenance experience.

A current driver’s license in good standing and the ability to meet driving record standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.

General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and/or carpentry.

Ability to travel within the assigned territory with occasional overnight stays.

Excellent customer service skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.

Availability for on‑call activity during off‑hours for urgent needs.

Basic English speaking and understanding.

Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.

Preferred Qualifications

Vocational or technical training.

Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT) certification.

Advanced skills in at least two trades (electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
