Responsibilities
Basic function: As a Valet Dispatcher, coordinate the parking and retrieving of guest vehicles by Valet Attendants, while securing and keeping track of all vehicle keys.
Ensure the timely dispatching of Valet Attendants to park and retrieve guest vehicles.
Monitor the amount of time guests wait for their vehicle to ensure it meets the property’s service standard.
Assist with the safe moving of guest vehicles in the garage and guest areas, as needed.
Secure and keep track of all guest vehicle keys.
Accept and process valet fees (if applicable).
Answer the telephone using proper telephone etiquette.
Inform customers of valet rates and possess knowledge of major streets, landmarks, and freeways to provide directions if needed.
Respond to customer questions/issues in a prompt and courteous manner.
Report known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrences to Supervisors or Manager.
Assist the Ramp Supervisor in maintaining a clear ramp area.
Help maintain the cleanliness of the area around the garage office.
Be on time for every scheduled work day and maintain a neat, clean appearance in uniform.
Assist Supervisors and Managers with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
COVID-19 vaccination is required at this location, subject to valid medical or religious accommodations.
Salary: $17.00 per hour.
Education/Experience: Less than High School education or one month related experience; prior valet driving experience preferred.
License: Valid state driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record. Ability to drive a manual transmission is a plus.
Availability to Work: Shift requirements vary; may include 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends depending on location.
Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions; able to present information in one-on-one settings.
Customer Service Skills: Ability to respond positively to customer problems or complaints.
Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic with money; perform operations using units of American currency.
Appearance: Maintain a neat and clean appearance in uniform at all times.
Other Skills/Abilities: Ability to use a clock, calculator, or credit card machine as needed; maintain a pleasant demeanor when speaking with the public.
Other Attributes: Ability to follow detailed but standard instructions and adapt to changes in the work environment.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand or sit; use a phone or radio. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
