Senior Program Manager, Talent Development Programs - Missionforce

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a strategic talent development program for transitioning military service members, building the next generation of Salesforce consulting professionals within Missionforce, Salesforce’s dedicated business unit for national security.

About the Role
This role owns end-to-end talent development program: strategy, design, execution, cohort delivery, and scaling. It bridges talent strategy, workforce development, and delivery excellence.

Your Impact

Design and launch the Mission Readiness Experience (MRE) program.

Establish relationships with Salesforce recruitment, external talent partners.

Build a sustainable, high‑impact talent pipeline aligned to Missionforce delivery needs.

Translate military experience into high‑performing Salesforce consulting careers.

Grow cleared delivery capacity within Missionforce and the Salesforce ecosystem.

Drive measurable business outcomes: billable capacity, certifications, retention.

Key Responsibilities
Program Strategy & Design

Define vision, structure, roadmap for MRE.

Design cohort‑based talent development model (12‑week readiness journey): prerequisites, curriculum, milestones, success criteria.

Establish candidate lifecycle framework: recruitment, on‑the‑job training, job placement.

Partner with leadership to align program goals to Missionforce growth, delivery capacity, customer needs.

Program Experience & Infrastructure

Own onboarding, program experience, fellowship journey from application through graduation.

Ensure delivery of a blended curriculum that includes:

Salesforce technical skills & certifications

Consulting and client delivery skills

Leadership and professional development

Stand up program infrastructure: tools, systems, communications, reporting.

Define and track program KPIs: certification attainment, customer readiness, job placement rates, fellow retention.

Stakeholder Management & Partnerships

Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders: Salesforce Military & Vetforce, Salesforce and Military Recruiting, Professional Services delivery leaders, hiring managers.

Align stakeholders on expectations, roles, program outcomes.

Secure and maintain executive sponsorship and visibility.

Deliver regular executive updates and insights.

Continuously improve program design based on feedback and data.

Program Operations & Talent Development

Oversee participant experience, ensuring engagement, clear expectations, strong outcomes.

Establish and manage mentorship and coaching model.

Enable consulting and technical skills through hands‑on learning.

Support career placement for fellows into Missionforce, Salesforce, and partners.

Proactively identify, analyze, mitigate cross‑program risks and dependencies.

Delivery Enablement & Workforce Development

Design and lead scalable enablement programs beyond MRE.

Assess evolving customer demands, market trends to identify skill gaps.

Partner with Delivery Leadership, Sales, Global Enablement to align priorities.

Build learning pathways for talent flexibility, future readiness, utilization.

Establish metrics to track enablement effectiveness: skill adoption, staffability, utilization, project success impact.

Required Qualifications

5+ years in program management, talent development, or workforce development.

Proven experience launching and scaling complex, cross‑functional programs.

Strong understanding of professional services delivery models.

Experience working with executive stakeholders and influencing without authority.

Demonstrated ability to design structured learning or development programs.

Strong collaboration, communication, presentation skills; articulate complex concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Agility and comfort with ambiguity in a fast‑paced environment.

Exceptional organizational, communication, stakeholder management skills.

U.S. citizenship (U.S. born or naturalized) residing in the U.S., no dual citizenship; meets security screening standards.

Located in Washington, DC metro area.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Salesforce ecosystem, consulting, or cloud technology services.

Familiarity with military talent programs, veteran hiring initiatives, SkillBridge or Hiring Our Heroes.

Background in learning & development, early career programs, apprenticeship models.

Experience managing cohort‑based or fellowship‑style talent development programs.

Experience in military service or working in a military environment.

Experience supporting DoD, IC, or Federal Civilian agencies.

Employment Details
This position requires U.S. citizenship (U.S. born or naturalized) with no dual citizenship. A U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position is required.

Salary range: $143,400 – $216,900 annually (base only; excludes bonuses, equity, benefits).

Eligibility for incentive compensation, equity, benefits as per role and location.
