Location of Position(s) to be Filled: Department of Environment & Conservation, Tennessee State Parks Division, Hamblen County.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: None.
NSQs: A valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required for employment in some positions.
Overview
We are seeking candidates with experience in grounds and facilities maintenance to join our Park Maintenance team.
Responsibilities
Clean bathrooms and remove garbage and litter from park areas daily.
Operate equipment, such as commercial lawn mowers, dump trucks, and utility vehicles.
Operate and maintain small equipment, such as chainsaws, leaf blowers and trimmers.
Assist with inventory of supplies and equipment.
Assist with ongoing maintenance of the park's 28-mile trail system, and 18-hole disc golf course.
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance at facilities throughout the park, including campground, shelters, visitor center, and residences.
Contribute to park initiatives, such as landscaping and native flower restoration.
