OVERVIEW

This role sits within the portfolio management function and focuses on oversight, analysis, and reporting across a diversified real estate portfolio. The position is highly analytical and requires a strong understanding of property-level performance, accounting, cash flow, and financial operations, with regular interaction with asset management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and analyze monthly property financials prepared by third-party property managers, identifying key drivers of performance and potential issues
Evaluate property performance relative to budget, prior periods, and underwriting expectations, and highlight key variances
Monitor rent rolls, leasing activity, and accounts receivable aging; coordinate with asset management on performance issues and delinquencies
Track property-level performance metrics, including cash flow, distributions, and returns
Maintain a working understanding of each asset within the portfolio, including operational challenges and opportunities
Contribute to quarterly investor reporting, including performance analysis and supporting materials
Coordinate audit processes, including preparation and review of audit workbooks and supporting documentation
Review audit adjustments and ensure timely completion of audit deliverables
Maintain and update portfolio-level reporting and internal performance tracking
Financing & Transaction Collaboration

Support property financing and refinancings from a financial analysis and coordination standpoint
Assist in transaction execution by preparing and reviewing financial information required for acquisitions and dispositions
Perform loan compliance testing and ensure adherence to lender requirements
Operations

Oversee property-level cash management, including liquidity, funding needs, and debt service
Prepare forward-looking cash flow projections and support capital planning decisions
Review and coordinate approval of property funding requests (operating and capital)
Review bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of property-level financial reporting
Monitor lender escrows and support draw request processes
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
2–4 years of experience in real estate accounting, portfolio analysis, or related field
Experience working with property-level financials and third-party managers preferred
Yardi or similar systems experience preferred
Public accounting experience is a plus, but not required
Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets
Analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial results and identify trends
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem solving

The base salary for this position may range from $100,000-$120,000 with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
