Caring Place Healthcare Group is seeking a highly organized and dependable Scheduler to coordinate staffing for our nursing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring residents receive consistent, high-quality care by maintaining appropriate staffing coverage and supporting daily operations.

Your Role as a Scheduler:
Develop and maintain the master schedule for nursing staff, ensuring coverage 7 days a week
Manage scheduling changes, including shift swaps, call-offs, and time-off requests while maintaining proper staffing levels
Communicate scheduling updates clearly with nursing staff, supervisors, and other departments
Collaborate with nursing leadership to align staffing with resident care needs and regulatory requirements
Ensure all scheduling documentation, time sheets, and payroll records are accurate and completed on time
Assist with onboarding new hires by coordinating schedules and training timelines
Stay current on staffing regulations and adjust schedules to ensure compliance
Track and report on scheduling metrics such as overtime and turnover to identify improvement opportunities
Communicate professionally with staff, residents, families, and vendors
Follow all facility policies, including infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
Foster a calm, supportive, and team-oriented environment
Attend required trainings, meetings, and in-services
Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of healthcare scheduling experience, preferably in a skilled nursing setting
CNA experience preferred
Experience with Smartlinx is a plus!
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Compassionate and team-oriented mindset
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment
Must be in good general health and free of communicable diseases
Ability to meet physical requirements including standing, walking, bending, and assisting residents
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently and up to 175 lbs with assistance
Ability to read, write, and speak English
