Partners in Change Team Support
AmeriCorps, Atlanta, GA, United States
Partners in Change (PIC) takes coaching’s track record of success for executives and brings that to adults in poverty, empowering them to change the trajectory of their lives. PIC pairs trained volunteer coaches with adults pursuing personal and professional goals, talking weekly for a year as one-to-one partners in their success. Fully realized, Partners in Change seeks to deploy a critical mass of coaches and create a tipping point in Atlanta’s efforts to reduce poverty. This VISTA will contribute to the effectiveness of PIC’s coaching model, build volunteer knowledge and skills, support volunteer & participant trainings, and inform development of a scalable coach support model as PIC expands its program. PIC seeks an intuitive interpersonal communicator and inquisitive program developer. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of effective program structures, experience with the communities we serve, 1:1 training skills, an ability to sensitively redirect others and employ our non-directive style of coaching, excellent follow-through, and familiarity working within a constituent management system. You will have the unique opportunity to be part of designing the growth and larger impact of this 6-yr old non‑profit. You will be led by a diverse management team possessing a wealth of experience in Atlanta community and nonprofit organizations. You will gain ongoing professional development as you participate in Team Meetings and one-to-one meetings with staff leadership, volunteer Coach trainings, and staff skill-building as we support our coaching teams. You gain valuable experience and knowledge from your interactions with our volunteers. You will be at the heart of all we are doing, constantly growing as you support PIC’s long‑term vision for personal, social, and economic upward mobility and substantial impact on inequalities in our communities.
