Overview
Are you looking for a Business Analyst position that will allow you to work on a variety of projects? Do you enjoy working with both IT and business customers? If so, we invite you to apply for this position within the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (DHEWD).
Responsibilities
Conduct process mapping, requirements gathering, documenting process flows, and creating technical specification documentation.
Develop and write quality assurance test scripts.
Support user acceptance testing.
Serve as a liaison between business users and developers.
Assist business users with all requests such as business charters, enhancement requests and ADO work items.
Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to create and understand process diagrams, flowcharts and business models.
Ability to identify and define scope, objectives, and functionality of a project.
Ability to translate technical terminology into easy‑to‑understand terms.
Skill in outlining project scope, objectives, and functionality.
Skill in translating business processes into information technology requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
