The Crew Leader Arborist will oversee a team of 3-5 professionals, managing daily field operations such as pruning, removals, and structural bracing. This role offers the opportunity to work with a team of certified professionals dedicated to the care and preservation of valuable trees, while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a crew of 3-5 arborists in daily field operations, including both climbing and aerial lift work.
Assign tasks and ensure proper execution of pruning, removals, and structural bracing projects.
Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and guidance to climbers and ground support staff.
Maintain high standards of safety and quality by ensuring adherence to company protocols and industry standards.
Communicate effectively with team members, other crew leaders, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
Oversee the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment, reporting any issues as needed.
Qualifications
Proficient in all aspects of arboricultural services and equipment, including climbing, aerial lifts, stump grinders, trucks, and chippers.
Knowledge of and adherence to ANSI Z133 and A300 standards.
ISA or MCA certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
1b 2a hoisting license, or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
3-5 years experience leading a crew in the arboricultural services.
