Locums - Bristol, Virginia - Hematology/Oncology (Float Pool) OpeningAssignment Details
- Start Date: July 20, 2026
- Duration: 26 weeks
- Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM clinic
- Friday clinic every 3rd week
- Call: Monday-Sunday every 3rd week
- Call Frequency: Every 3 weeks
- Hospital outpatient Hematology/Oncology department
- EMR: Epic Beacon
- Float pool coverage across multiple locations
- Abingdon Location: 3 NPs + dedicated RN
- Marion Location: 1 NP + dedicated RN
- Additional support at both locations:
- Nurse navigators
- Palliative care
- Dieticians
- 12-15 patients per day
- Adult patients only (18+)
- One clinic attached to a 21-chair infusion room and located in the same center as Radiation Oncology
- Second location includes a 5-chair infusion center
- Board Certified Hem/Onc Required or pending board certification exam - Required
- Active Virginia license - Required
- DEA - Required
- BLS - Required
- Minimum 1+ year of experience - Required
- Flu vaccine - Required
- Clean background only (no pending or settled malpractice cases) - Required
- Estimated timeframe: 60-90 days
- Temporary privileges may be available sooner
- VA license, DEA, and insurance credentialing may impact timeline
