Locums Orthopedic Surgery (Sports Medicine) - Aurora, ILAvailability
- Start: July / ASAP
- Length: 6 months
- Schedule:
- 2 clinic days/week (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 1-hour lunch)
- 2 OR days/week (start 7:30 AM)
- OR currently Monday & Friday (flexible for right candidate)
- Illinois License OR IMLC (accepted; willing to license)
- Board Certified Orthopedic Surgery
- Sports Medicine Fellowship Trained
- DEA Required
- Multi-ligament knee procedures (ACL/MCL/PCL)
- Hip arthroscopy (required)
- General sports medicine case mix (meniscus, ligament repairs, etc.)
- Weekend Call: 1:7
- Friday 5:00 PM - Monday 7:00 AM
- Weeknight Call:
- Shared with 6 surgeons
- Some weeks none; some weeks 1 night
- Includes ER call + required rounding within 24 hours of admission
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital
- Facility: Level II Trauma Center (Rush Copley)
- EMR: Epic
- Reason for Need: Vacancy in Sports Medicine program
- Clinic: 25-30 patients/day
- Surgery: 8-10 cases/week
- 6 Orthopedic Surgeons (11 total providers)
- APPs (PAs/NPs):
- First assist in OR
- Handle post-ops
- Share call and take ER calls from home
