
Application Analyst - Revenue Cycle (HealthIT) - (Remote Available)

Job Summary
The Application Analyst will join the HealthIT Revenue Cycle team and support Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB) functionality, including system integrations. This role focuses on ensuring stable, efficient revenue cycle workflows and delivering high quality application support to operational and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Support Epic eStar Resolute HB and PB revenue cycle applications, including related system integrations.
Maintain and optimize payment, denial, and follow‑up workflows, including Single Billing Office (SBO) functions.
Perform payor plan maintenance, agency placement configuration, and work queue updates.
Support Charge Router, claims processing, and other Epic specialty areas.
Provide ongoing support for incident and problem tickets, routine system maintenance, and application enhancements.
Participate in system testing, validation, and regular Epic upgrades.
Collaborate with operational and technical stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and improve billing processes.
Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation to support critical systems as needed.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of revenue cycle operations, including billing and follow‑up processes.
Experience with or working knowledge of Epic Hospital Billing and/or Professional Billing.
Familiarity with SBO (Self‑Pay / Billing Operations) workflows.
Ability to analyze issues, document solutions, and communicate effectively with both technical and business users.
Experience supporting production healthcare systems in a regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a Revenue Cycle Application Analyst role.
Experience supporting Epic upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
Experience in other Epic Applications such as Home Health, Wisdom, or community connect.
Technical Capabilities
Configuration Management and Planning (Novice): Competent to apply changes or develop new functions based on understanding of system design.
Technical Analysis (Novice): Capable of analyzing and developing solutions to moderately complex issues.
Testing (Novice): Competent to develop and execute pre‑designed program test data.
Product Knowledge (Novice): Understands the product in relation to other company products.
Problem Management (Novice): Demonstrates knowledge of incident tracking and problem reporting.
Business Knowledge (Novice): Applies functional business knowledge to meet work objectives.
Position Qualifications
2 years of relevant work experience. Bachelor’s degree required.
