As the Navy Facilities Management Analyst, you will provide programmatic support to one of our NAVSEA customers in the Washington, D.C. area. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.

Serco supports the US Navy as a subcontractor for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

In this role, you will:

Provide updates to the Team Submarine Chief of Staff (CoS) and Corp Ops Directorate on all issues and work efforts being accomplished for Bldg 176, Bldg 201, Bldg 111 and other scope as necessary. The incumbent is also aware of the status of all work occurring in their Area of Responsibility (AOR) and follows through on any items not being completed in a timely manner.

Meet with NAVSEA Facilities regularly via Facilities POC meetings, and other stakeholder meetings as necessary, to discuss any issues/questions the TSUB org may have.

Provide updates to TSUB CoS, Directorate/PEO on facility issues and work efforts that NAVFAC and/or NAVSEA are planning through the Facilities POC Meeting or MS Teams Facilities POC channel.

Ensure all requests for service include complete and accurate information. This includes, but is not limited to, Service Tickets, Project requests, and Furniture reconfigurations. Ensures that service requests are vetted through the CoS and CMC, to account for TSUB Seating Holistic plan and strategic vision supporting the TSUB workforce needs.

Conduct routine walk-throughs and visual inspections for building upkeep, ensuring items like light bulbs aren’t burned out, doors aren’t hanging off of hinges, toilet seats missing, etc. The goal is to have the person be proactive in the overall status of the building instead of waiting for a service request.

Liaise with the CoS/Directorate regarding space management to identify all requests for space and/or space reconfigurations and ensures all TSUB space is managed within NAVSEA guidelines.

Manage seating for all TSUB owned real estate through coordination with DPM’s, COS and TIE coordinators. Support TIE Managers as necessary to ensure efficient seating of New Hires.

Manage Emergency equipment in TSUB spaces, ranging from AED’s, Fire Extinguishers, Stop the Bleed kits, etc. and ensure evacuation routes, muster lists are up to date and ready for use in case of an emergency.

Manage the TSUB facilities channel

Support Events and Ceremonies for TSUB, from a logistics and planning aspect. Will work closely with TSUB Front Office EAs, NAVSEA Protocol, and other stakeholders as necessary to execute events.

Must be proactive in the overall status of the building instead of waiting for a service request.

To be successful in this role you will have:

An Active or Current Secret Clearance.

US Citizenship.

High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.

10 years in building/facilities related maintenance experience.

Experience coordinating/interfacing contractors and outside organizations.

Strong customer, interpersonal and organizational level communication skills (written and verbal).

Familiarity or willing to learn NAVSEA internal ticket/work processes. Understand and manage the workflow of facility maintenance tickets from identification, prioritization and evaluation.

Familiarity or willing to learn NAVSEA Policies and processes for space management.

Knowledge of maintenance, repair and construction techniques and ability to read and understand contract plans and specifications and ability to propose cost effective solutions.

Understanding of trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.

Ability to conduct assigned space inspections and be proactive with initiating work when necessary and take ownership of the areas assigned to you for work.

Ability to take-in, process, monitor, and update work ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction to the personnel in their respective AORs.

Ability to develop and present written and oral technical and non-technical information. Maintain good working relations with all internal NAVSEA groups.

Ability to evaluate and communicate requirements from their CoS/Directorates/PEOs to Executive Leadership, NAVSEA Facilities and other stakeholders when appropriate, and set appropriate expectations.

Basic computer skills and the ability to work with various software programs including Microsoft Office Suite and authorized NAVSEA software programs.

Ability to travel 10% of the time.
