• Assignment Dates: Multiple blocks available: June 15-19, 22-26; July 13-17, 20-24; August 10-14, 17-21
• Position: Locum Tenens Cardiology Physician / Locum Cardiologist (Inpatient Cardiology)
• Shifts: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Any
• Call: Weekday call only (no weekend call)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,150 - $7,280 (competitive locum tenens pay)
• Patient Encounters Per Shift: 15-20
• Department Beds: 110 (inpatient cardiology service)
• Nearest Airports: Columbus, Cincinnati, Huntington

Qualifications & Requirements

• Board Certification in Cardiology (Internal Medicine - Cardiology)
• Active Ohio medical license (or eligible for expedited Ohio licensure)
• Fellowship training in Cardiology
• Minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient cardiology or hospital-based cardiology care
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with TEE, tilt table testing, conscious sedation, and echocardiography
• Experience supervising and interpreting a wide range of cardiovascular tests and diagnostics
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days

Key Responsibilities - Cardiologist

• Provide inpatient cardiology care and ICU coverage as needed (cardiac ICU / telemetry)
• Supervise and interpret cardiovascular testing, including stress tests (15-20 daily), EKGs (?75 daily), echocardiograms (15-20 daily), TEE (1-2 daily), and tilt table tests (1 daily)
• Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiology procedures and echocardiography
• Collaborate with and divide patient load with an independent nurse practitioner
• Participate in weekday call coverage (no weekends) and ensure high standards of patient safety and quality
