GCI Metals, Inc. is a full-service metal fabrication shop located in the heart of Ohio Valley. Our shop specializes in miscellaneous metals, and we fabricate steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
We are seeking a motivated Structural Steel Fabrication Production Manager in Training to join our team in Wilmington, OH! This position is designed to develop future leadership within our production operations. You’ll work closely with shop personnel and management to support daily operations and ensure efficient workflow.
What can we offer YOU:
PAY: $40,000-$55,000 per year (depending on experience)
401(k) with profit sharing
PTO
Schedule:
Monday-Friday
7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Saturday (if needed)
8:00 AM-11:00 AM
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 5 years of experience in structural fabrication
Experience with aluminum and stainless steel is a plus
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Strong math and problem-solving skills
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison between the shop floor and production management
Assist in coordinating daily production activities
Support workflow efficiency, scheduling, and communication across teams
Learn and apply production management best practices
May include some shop floor fabrication
Learn and use production software for tracking and shipping projects.
Communicate with Admin on Invoicing projects
Oversee shop employees and the safety requirements
