We are seeking a passionate and experienced Middle School Religion Teacher to join our team and support our mission of academic excellence and faith formation.
Qualifications
Practicing Catholic
in good standing with the Church, committed to upholding and teaching Catholic doctrine.
Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Teaching certification or willingness to obtain certification, as required by the Archdiocese.
Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
Strong knowledge of Catholic teachings, traditions, and Scripture.
Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Passion for Catholic education and the ability to engage and inspire students in their faith journey.
Essential Job Functions
Teach middle school religion classes, integrating Catholic teachings, Scripture, Church history, and moral development.
Inspire students to live out their faith through prayer, service, and active participation in the sacramental life of the Church.
Plan and lead liturgical celebrations, prayer services, retreats, and service projects in collaboration with school and parish leadership.
Create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and spiritual growth.
Partner with parents, faculty, and parish staff to support students' faith formation.
Serve as a role model of Catholic values in word and action.
Support the mission and values of Catholic education by participating in school activities, professional development, and faith-based initiatives.
