Job Overview
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School (Seattle) is seeking a Spanish teacher to begin in the 2026-27 academic year.
This Spanish teacher will join our dynamic team and will be responsible for the Spanish instruction of grades preschool - grade 8. A knowledge and love of Spanish, desire to be a part of a faith community, and a willingness to work collaboratively with OLL faculty are some of the desired qualities.
Education and Experience
Valid Washington State Teacher certificate
Practicing Catholic preferred
Experience teaching Spanish to Preschool - grade 8 students
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Dispositions, and Abilities
Fluent in speaking Spanish; able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with students via both English and Spanish
Plan/execute a balanced program and organize class time to engage student learners through a variety of instructional methods
Provide individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the Spanish curriculum to the needs of each student
Ensure curriculum, materials, and instructional practices are aligned with World Language Standards and Common Core State Standards
Regularly integrate technology in lessons to support student learning
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (Master's degree preferred)
Valid Washington State teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
Practicing Catholic preferred, or strong commitment to supporting the Catholic mission of the school
Demonstrated expertise in early literacy instruction
Strong classroom management skills rooted in consistency and care
Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Salary
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $85,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills, and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
