Department: Media, Communications and Journalism, California State University, Fresno. The department seeks qualified candidate(s) to teach undergraduate courses in advertising and public relations, with responsibilities as a temporary lecturer in the department.
Temporary Faculty Pool - Lecturer in Advertising/Public Relations
Location: Central California, Fresno. Work type: Instructional Faculty - Temporary/Lecturer. This is a pool of part-time lecturers drawn as needed based on student enrollment and funding for the department.

MCJ 180 Water and Strategic Media
Or other classes identified to fulfill educational goals
Responsibilities Prepare, deliver, conduct, proctor, and grade lectures and related assignments as appropriate.
Offer classes as scheduled in the mode assigned (asynchronous, synchronous, in-person, or hybrid).
Provide office hours, assign and assess homework, quizzes, class projects, and exams as applicable.
Adhere to university and system-wide policies per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph 2.
Qualifications Required
Education: A PhD or MA in media, communication and journalism or similar with emphasis in advertising and/or public relations (from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent).
Experience: Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred
Commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence, evidenced through prior teaching experience and evaluations or other evidence.
Successful undergraduate teaching experience.
Conditional Appointment Appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and subject to order of assignment provisions in the collective bargaining agreement between CSU and the California Faculty Association. Appointees must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States (Fresno State is not a sponsoring agency for Temporary Faculty positions).
Compensation Commensurate with qualifications and experience within the CSU salary schedule. For this title (Academic Year Lecturer), the range is set by the CSU Salary Schedule; actual salary depends on WTUs assigned per academic term.
