Location: Columbia, SC Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Project Scope
The Quality Assurance Tester (Advanced) will support enterprise-level projects, ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of complex systems within a structured PMO environment. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of complex healthcare systems, particularly within Medicaid-related environments.
Support QA activities across enterprise applications and systems
Work within PMO governance frameworks and standards
Contribute to complex, large-scale system implementations
Ensure adherence to quality standards, SDLC processes, and compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
Develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements
Execute functional, regression, UI, and usability testing
Perform negative testing and system validation
Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and system components
Work within SDLC methodologies (Waterfall & Agile)
Ensure compliance with QA governance standards and best practices
Identify, log, and track defects and issues
Participate in defect triage, retesting, and resolution cycles
Prepare and publish status reports on QA progress and issues
Automation & Tools
Design and execute automated testing scripts (where applicable)
Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence
Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders
Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections
Recommend improvements to QA processes and methodologies
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in translating business requirements into test cases and scenarios
3+ years of experience in healthcare domain (preferably Medicaid)
3+ years of experience in defect tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication
3+ years of hands‑on experience with test design tools
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC processes
Preferred Skills
5+ years of experience in large enterprise systems
3+ years of experience with testing tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence)
3+ years of experience working in both Waterfall and Agile environments
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in technical, business, healthcare, or related field
