Locum - Physician - Primary Care Pendleton, OR
Join our esteemed healthcare team as a Locum Physician specializing in Primary Care, providing critical coverage at St. Anthony Hospital for a period of up to 12 months. Your expertise will ensure seamless primary care services for diverse patient populations, from newborns to seniors, within a supportive clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients aged newborn to geriatric
- Manage a patient load of approximately 17-20 patients daily
- Perform essential primary care procedures, including potential circumcisions
- Use eClinicalworks EMR system to document and manage patient information accurately
- Collaborate with a supportive team comprising one MA, a receptionist, and occasional clinic RN support
- Ensure consistent coverage during scheduled shifts Tuesday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or appropriately related specialties
- Proven experience in primary care or outpatient outpatient settings
- Strong clinical skills including preventive care, diagnosis, and minor procedures
- Excellent communication and patient engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and reliably adhere to scheduled days
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with eClinicalworks EMR platform
- Ability to perform primary care procedures such as circumcisions
- Experience serving diverse populations, including neonatal and geriatric patients
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of primary care experience
- Prior locum or temporary coverage experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Must be available to start as soon as credentialed
- Ability to travel, with airfare provided up to $750 and preferred lodging within MSA guidelines
- Valid driver s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to provide consistent coverage from Tuesday to Friday for the duration of the assignment
This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $200-$220, with premium rates for holidays ($300-$330). Orientation is compensated at $100-$110 per hour, and additional expenses such as travel and lodging are reimbursed according to policy.
