Job Summary
The Logistics Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA) Liaison is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory across material handling and production support operations. This role serves as the site lead for inventory discrepancies, driving Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) for mis-picks, hot part requests, and audit issues. The position leads a small logistics team and partners with Operations, Planning, and Point of Use (POU) teams to protect production flow and operational performance.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate inventory records across material tracking systems, storage locations, and point-of-use areas.
Lead inventory audits, cycle counts, and targeted accuracy validations.
Conduct Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) for mis-picks, hot parts, and audit failures to prevent recurrence.
Analyze inventory and audit data, identify trends, and drive corrective actions to closure.
Track and report key metrics including Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA %) and recurring discrepancy drivers.
Lead and prioritize daily work for six logistics team members to support production needs.
Partner with Operations, Planning, Scheduling, and Quality teams to prevent material shortages and line disruptions.
Years of Experience and Education
8–10 years of experience in logistics, inventory control, material handling, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
Experience with inventory accuracy, audits, and RCCA methodology.
Prior experience leading or coordinating work within a warehouse or shop‑floor environment.
High school diploma or GED required; relevant internships may be considered.
Skills Required
Inventory record accuracy and material control expertise.
Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) and structured problem‑solving skills.
Experience with inventory and logistics systems (e.g., MTS/MRP equivalents, RFID, barcode tracking, LogNet or similar).
Strong data analysis and reporting skills with Excel and Power BI proficiency.
Ability to lead teams, prioritize workloads, and drive daily execution.
Strong cross‑functional communication skills and continuous improvement mindset.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment requiring safety PPE and steel‑toe footwear.
