Maintenance Lead

Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to assist with projects to install, maintain, and/or repair equipment. Assist with training and developing maintenance personnel on repairs, PMs, and rebuilds. Collaborate with others to proactively resolve problems, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Responsibilities
Complete preventive maintenance to eliminate equipment downtime
Communicate plan of action to prevent repeat issues and assist in documenting new procedures
Direct maintenance personnel and assist with people development
Communicate with the Maintenance supervisor on equipment repairs and needs
Communicate with operations personnel to identify and resolve abnormal or degraded equipment conditions that could negatively impact safety, quality, or productivity
Participate in proactive maintenance activities such as FMEA's, RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action), Analytical Troubleshooting (ATS)
Document completed work to capture strong historical data for future analysis
Identify and utilize the proper tools for each job
Precision welding based on the required application
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve reliability of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, electrical and robotic equipment
Ensure the proper lubrication is applied to equipment
Develop, modify, read, troubleshoot, and install PLC programs
Assist with identifying opportunities to improve equipment inspection, lubrication, and hard to access areas for new equipment installs and for current equipment
Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and manuals to establish facts and draw conclusions
Use hydraulic and electrical measurement instruments and others
Cross-train other mechanics as well as production personnel
Lead by example and follow all safety policies and procedures
Identify safety risks and contribute ideas to improve safety procedures
Keep a clean organized work area
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Skilled in shop tools (lathes, drills, milling machines, etc.)
Read and understand mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be comfortable working at heights over 30 ft indoors or outdoors under conditions of high heat or extreme cold and wind
Prior Lockout/Tagout experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively work in a team and independently
Basic math skills: to include fractions, decimals, percentages, and the metric system; efficient with ratios and formulas required
