Position Summary
Join a fast‑paced Logistics operations team where you’ll lead people, performance, and process improvements that keep the facility running safely and efficiently. In this role, you’ll translate business plans into daily execution—balancing staffing, workload, quality, and safety—while developing leaders and driving measurable results across your area of responsibility.
What you’ll do
Communicate clearly and professionally with individuals and groups—verbally and in writing—including customers, suppliers, and associates.
Drive and implement the business plan for your area to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and deliver operational improvements.
Forecast staffing needs, workload, and performance results to meet business demands and service expectations.
Prepare, review, and analyze business reports; use insights to identify and implement improvements in production, quality, and safety.
Monitor and ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives by developing, distributing, and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
Resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using sound judgment and partnering with others when appropriate to ensure timely solutions.
Supervise and manage associates and leaders by setting direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying development needs, and supporting training and growth opportunities—including participation in hiring, promotion, coaching, and evaluation activities.

Have experience leading teams in logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or a high‑volume operations environment with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Are confident using reporting and performance metrics to diagnose issues, prioritize work, and drive continuous improvement.
Can forecast labor needs and plan workloads effectively to meet changing business demands.
Communicate with clarity and professionalism across multiple stakeholders (associates, leaders, customers, suppliers) and handle escalations with good judgment.
Enjoy developing talent—coaching, training, and building a culture of accountability and growth.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 1 year’s experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas OR 1 year’s experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 3 years’ experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.
