• Wed-Fri: 7a-4p, 9a-6p, 3p-12a, 7p-7a
• Sat-Sun: 7a-5p, 12p-10p, 7p-7a
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: All ages (per ED policy)
• Patient Volume/Census: 75 patients/day ( 27,400 annually)
• Admissions: Yes, as clinically indicated through the ED
• Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine
FACILITY INFORMATION
• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: Standard ED diagnostic and monitoring equipment
• Specialty Backup: All major specialties except Neurosurgery and Hand Surgery
• Advanced Practice Provider Coverage: NPs/PAs on site daily
• Reason for Coverage: Full-time vacancy
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary/Expedited Privileges: Expedited credentialing feasible ( 30+ days)
• Standard Credentialing Timeline: 90 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Core emergency medicine procedures
• Emergency medical evaluation and stabilization
• Basic and advanced life support procedures
• Coordination of emergency consults and admissions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Active Louisiana medical license
• BC in Emergency Medicine (EM residency trained only)
• DEA
• Certifications: ATLS and ACLS not required for EM-boarded physicians
• Experience: EM residency trained (BC or BE accepted)
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide emergency department evaluation and management across presenting conditions.
• Stabilize, treat, and coordinate disposition in collaboration with hospital teams.
• Document care accurately and timely within Epic.
• Participate in handoffs and adhere to ED clinical protocols and quality measures.
• Communicate effectively with nursing, consultants, and ancillary staff.
