Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
• Assignment dates: May 22, 7am through May 29, 7am
• Provide inpatient consultations, emergency department consultations, and transfer evaluations
• Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures including biopsies, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders
• Conduct injection of varices and PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
• ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) experience preferred with both diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities
• Perform esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpretation
• Conduct small bowel biopsies and lower GI endoscopy procedures
• Perform flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy procedures
• Conduct colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) experience preferred
• Perform liver biopsies and manage Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion
• Board certification required with ACLS certification
• Must maintain active Texas medical license
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 10 days
