Job Summary
Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Forklift Operator to join our corrugated facility in Kansas City, MO. The operator will load and unload trailers using a sit‑down forklift while maintaining accurate shipment records.
Salary & Compensation
$23.96 per hour
2nd Shift Differential: $3 per hour = $26.96
3rd Shift Differential: $2 per hour = $25.96
Potential for increased pay based on skills and performance.
Shift Availability & Hours
Open to any shift, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.
Currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift.
First two weeks on day shift; thereafter assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift.
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (starts Monday night)

Responsibilities
Safely operate a 10,000 lb sit‑down forklift to load and unload trailers.
Secure loads and ensure they are in good condition.
Maintain accurate records for all inbound and outbound shipments.
Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
Pull whip and raw material for production support.
Verify receipts, load sheets, and other required paperwork.
Perform physical tasks—including lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling—for at least 8 hours per day.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum six (6) months of sit‑down forklift experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Experience using a computer, tablet, or scanner for documentation and record‑keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
One year or more of sit‑down forklift experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry.
