Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Property Accountant with excellent organizational skills to coordinate and perform general ledger activities for month-end close. Applicants must be able to meet regularly scheduled deadlines.
This is a hybrid role based in our Dallas office.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly property close process
Prepare journal entries
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Maintain amortization and depreciation schedules
Set up and maintain vendor accounts in AP system
General ledger account analysis
Prepare monthly financial statements
Assist in special projects
Effectively communicate with property personnel and management
Qualifications
BS in Accounting
5 or more years of accounting experience
Experience with property accounting a plus
Experience with computer-based accounting systems, PeopleSoft Oracle a plus
Proficient in MS Excel
Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and internal controls
Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
