This role combines payroll ownership with core accounting responsibilities, making it ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants to build a strong foundation and grow over time. This position is designed to provide strong work-life balance while maintaining meaningful ownership of payroll and growing accounting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly payroll across multiple locations using iSolved
Manage employee deductions, benefits, reimbursements, and PTO tracking
Communicate with employees regarding payroll, benefit and PTO inquiries
Prepare payroll and general ledger journal entries
Support month-end close and financial reporting processes
Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online
Partner with HR and accounting to ensure data consistency across systems
Assist with accounting tasks, reporting, and process improvements

Qualifications
1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll experience or equivalent education
Basic understanding of accounting principles including GAP and accrual

Strong communication and teamwork skills
Great sense of humor
