Overview
We are seeking a Workday Payroll Specialist to support a recently deployed Workday US Payroll environment. This role will focus on processing payroll, stabilizing ongoing operations, and enabling internal team members who are ramping up their payroll capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Process end-to-end Workday US Payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
Support day-to-day payroll operations in a post-go-live environment
Troubleshoot payroll issues, validate results, and resolve discrepancies
Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and support compliance requirements
Provide hands‑on guidance and training to internal team members learning payroll operations
Partner with HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders to address payroll‑related inquiries
Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and documentation
Required Qualifications
Strong hands‑on experience with Workday Payroll, specifically US Payroll
Proven experience processing payroll within Workday
Experience supporting post-go-live payroll operations
Ability to train, mentor, and support team members with varying levels of payroll experience
Solid understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and best practices
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules
Prior experience working in lean teams or supporting organizations building internal capability
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly
