Job Title: Payroll Supervisor (Workday Required)
Location: Culver City, CA (Onsite/Hybrid, as applicable)
Employment Type: Contract with Potential to Convert to Full‑Time
Compensation: $90,000–$92,000 annually (hourly equivalent during contract)
Job Summary
LHH is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor with strong and recent Workday payroll experience to support a contract opportunity in Culver City, with the possibility of conversion to a full‑time role. This position will oversee payroll operations, ensure compliance and accuracy, and partner closely with HR and Finance to support a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and execute end‑to‑end payroll processing using Workday
Ensure timely and accurate payroll for multi‑state employees
Review payroll data for accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness
Resolve payroll discrepancies, adjustments, and employee inquiries
Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, and compensation changes
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Support payroll reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements
Assist with payroll audits and documentation as needed
Required Qualifications
5+ years of payroll experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities
Strong and recent hands‑on Workday payroll experience (required)
Experience with multi‑state payroll processing
Solid understanding of payroll tax, wage and hour, and compliance requirements
High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently in a contract environment and adapt quickly
