Assignment Details
• Start Date: June 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours (No Call)
• Setting: Inpatient ICU
• Schedule:
• June (Days): 1, 2, 11, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 29, 30
• July (Days): 1, 6, 9, 11, 12, 16 Äì22, 24, 27
• July (Nights): 24 Äì27
• August: 13 Äì17, 20 Äì24 (days
  ights TBD)
• Ongoing monthly coverage required (minimum one stint/month)
• Patient Volume: Avg 13 (range 1 Äì20)
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: 2 Äì4 weeks
Requirements
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
• Active VA license and DEA
• BLS, ACLS
• Critical Care/ICU experience required
• Must cover requested dates
• Must commit to ongoing monthly coverage
• Clean background (required for temp privileges)
Clinical Details
• Scope:
• ICU management of adult patients
• Ventilator management (with RT support)
• Admissions from ED, floors, and outside hospitals
• Respond to decompensating patients
• Family communication and goals of care discussions
• Procedures:
• Central lines (CVL)
• Arterial lines
• Dialysis catheters (HD caths)
• Practice Model:
• APP working autonomously
• Support:
• Respiratory therapists and ICU care team
