Join Our Team as an LPN - Peds Emergency Department (Night Shift) and Make a Difference in Pediatric Care

What You ll Do:

• Deliver high-quality patient care with minimal supervision in a pediatric emergency setting
• Place IVs and perform phlebotomy with precision and care
• Greet patients, prepare exam rooms, and assist with exams and procedures
• Measure, record vital signs, and monitor patient progress
• Support physicians during examinations and procedures, including injections and Paps
• Assist with administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, chart preparation, and insurance authorizations
• Maintain clinical areas and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records effectively to document patient information
• Observe and report patient responses, contributing to optimal care outcomes
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth unit operations

Required Skills:

• Current New York State LPN License
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in an inpatient or emergency setting
• Proficiency in IV placement, phlebotomy, and pediatric patient care
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with confidence

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in Pediatric Emergency Departments
• Prior use of Electronic Medical Records systems
• Knowledge of insurance authorizations and referral processes

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Licensed Practical Nurse with at least 1 year of clinical experience
• Prior inpatient or pediatric emergency care experience highly desirable

Other Requirements:

• Working the 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and some holidays
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Willingness to perform routine clinical and administrative duties as needed
• Valid licensure and certification in accordance with state regulations

Hourly Pay Rate: $45.67
