Job Title: Product Specialist (Accounting & Regulatory Reporting)
Duration: 12 months with opportunity for extension/conversion
Location: Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX Hybrid
Overview
We are building a new lending platform from the ground up and are seeking a domain expert in accounting and regulatory reporting to join the product team.
Responsibilities
Define and support accounting logic within the platform (loan lifecycle, revenue recognition, interest vs discounting, etc.)
Ensure accurate data flow from system of record to general ledger
Work on financial reporting and reconciliation requirements
Interpret and implement regulatory reporting requirements across global jurisdictions
Collaborate with product managers to translate accounting/regulatory needs into product requirements
Explain complex financial concepts in simple, business-friendly language
Support design of scalable financial data structures and reporting outputs
Strong expertise in accounting principles
Revenue recognition, loan accounting, and financial reporting
Ability to explain complex accounting concepts simply
Strong learning agility and adaptability
Experience in commercial banking
Exposure to systems like ERP or financial modules
