General Services Corporation (GSC Apartments) is seeking an Insurance Compliance Coordinator to join our Compliance team in our Richmond, VA office.
Responsibilities
Coordinate incident reporting and insurance claims to include investigation, analysis, reporting, follow-up, and resolution.
Serve as a liaison between employees and insurance adjuster, broker, and attorney.
Stay current on industry standards through research and continuing education.
Provide status updates and reports as needed.
Prepare for the annual commercial property insurance policy renewal.
Assist with projects and duties as requested.
Requirements
Minimum five years’ experience in an administrative role with focus on compliance, insurance, and/or legal matters.
Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft 365.
Detail-oriented and well-organized.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to foster strong relationships.
Research and reporting skills.
Strong statistical analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, legal studies, or property management preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Understanding of laws and regulations including but not limited to Fair Housing and Landlord/Tenant preferred.
Experience with compliance in multifamily property management or real estate with understanding of insurance claims and incident reporting.
